Description

The thiolated DMAPS [2-(methacryloyloxy)ethyl]dimethyl-(3-sulfopropyl)ammonium hydroxide] is an opposite dipole orientation alternative zwitterionic molecule to the ultra-bioresistant SAM consisted of 2-methacryloyloxyethyl phosphorylcholine (MPC) thiol that was first reported by Tatsuro Goda et al. Chem. Commun., 2013, 49, 8683. Most recently, the wet  adhesion interaction of these two SAMs versus the DOPA-cantaining ligand was studied in detail by L. Xie, et al., J. Mater. Chem. A, 2019.
