Description

This simple variant of Carboxybetaine terminated SAM (please see also cat no. ZI 003-m11) was successfully used to immobilise lectins and construct non fouling sensor aiming glycoprofiling of antibodies isolated from healthy individuals and rhematoid arthritis patients. Shorter N,N-dimethyl cysteamine-carboxybetaine thiol (our product cat no. ZI 001-m2) proved its ultra non-fouling feature in a mixed SAM with 4-marcaptophenylboronic acid, when directed to specifically sense fructose molecules at a presence of BSA protein in the analyte. Prof Shaoyi group have also demonstrated extraordinary non-fouling capabilities of carboxybetaine moiety in a new polycarboxybetaine - pluronic copolymeric approach for zwitterionic surfaces.
