Description

The increased length of this ligand’s "tail" allows for better packing on the Fe3O4 surface. In addition, when immobilized onto iron oxide nanoparticles, longer ligands minimize strong van der Waals interactions between particles’ cores and thus prevent their aggregation in solution.
