HS-(CH2)m-(CO)-O-(CH2)n-SH (DT 002)


This much longer dithiol crosslinks NPs into flexible, deformable supraspheres that can then "stick" together into macroscopic materials. Also suitable for crosslinking nanoparticle monolayers into freestanding films, or for development of pH-responsive materials (whereby the NPs fall apart when the central ester is hydrolyzed).
